Nestled on 116 N Broad St in Thomasville, Coyoacan Mexican Restaurant offers a vibrant taste of Mexico right in the heart of Georgia. Stepping inside, you’re greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere where the staff make you feel immediately welcome, setting the stage for an enjoyable dining experience. The menu is packed with classic Mexican favorites, and the lunch specials are a real treat-like the Lunch #23, which pairs a chicken and beef enchilada, each bursting with flavor, while the chicken enchilada often steals the show with its tender, juicy filling. Meals come complete with fresh chips and salsa, and the portions are generous, complemented by impressively large soft drink glasses. Outdoor seating is available, giving diners the option to enjoy their meal in the fresh air, though the tables are modestly sized and placed along a slightly slanted sidewalk, adding a quirky charm to the experience. Margaritas are a highlight here, though some visitors have noted they tend to be icy, yet they remain a staple for anyone looking to sip a refreshing cocktail with their meal. What stands out most at Coyoacan is the consistency of the food and the friendliness of the staff, making it a spot locals return to time and again. Whether it’s a casual lunch or a lively evening with friends, the restaurant’s convenient location on Broad Street makes it an easy stop, while the combination of tasty dishes, cheerful service, and authentic Mexican flair keeps diners coming back for more. I thought the meal and the service were both excellent. I knocked off one star simply because of the price. They have more lunch specials than the typical Mexican restaurant, but their cheapest lunch special is about $3 higher than other Mexican restaurants I go to, for the same food. You’re paying for the convenience of eating downtown while you shop. Just think of it as a $3 convenience fee I guess.

Had a great (and inexpensive) lunch today. This was our second visit and it was really good. I had a Lunch #23 (1 chicken and 1 beef enchilada) an it was great, though I think the chicken one was better than the beef. It looked and smelled so good that I was halfway through before I remembered to take a picture. I also had a soft drink and the glasses were huge. Our meal came with chips and salsa.

They serve Hubbards ribeye & filets here! The ribeye fajitas with fresh jalapenos cooked with it was absolutely the BEST! We highly recommend them if you are craving a good piece of steak. The service was wonderful in every way. Ask for Taylor when you visit for a meal!
